The family behind Nath Inc.

Born and raised in India, Ken immigrated to the United States in the late 1980s in pursuit of the American dream. He started as a Subway franchisee, gaining valuable business experience while finishing his BBA at Grand Valley State University.

In 1995, Ken took a leap of faith and purchased a small 25-room motel. It was a risky move, but his entrepreneurial spirit and determination paid off, and he steadily added more hotels to the portfolio.

After exiting his Subway franchise in 2015, Ken turned his full focus to hospitality. He built a reputation for restoring distressed hotels to profitability, and after many successful renovations, ground-up development became part of Nath Inc.’s identity. With his family alongside him, the company has grown to include award-winning hotels throughout Michigan and Illinois.

Bhavik began his career at Nath Inc. while in college, helping manage properties in the Kalamazoo area. In 2007, he played a crucial role in negotiating with Wyndham to secure one of the company’s first hotel franchises, then managed the Knights Inn by Wyndham while attending college full-time.

After graduating from Grand Valley State University with a BBA in 2009, he was promoted to Vice President of Operations and led the acquisition of several Wyndham and Choice properties in the Kalamazoo area within five years.

Bhavik has been central to turning around distressed assets and completing numerous renovations, experience that launched Nath Inc.’s development strategy and made it a full-service management company. Most recently, he has led the organization and planning of new developments such as the Tru by Hilton in Redlands, California.

Arju graduated from Kalamazoo College in 2017. Though he had always been part of Nath Inc., he broadened his horizons in mortgage banking while earning his Master’s in Finance at the University of Michigan.

When the pandemic hit in 2020, Arju completed his master’s and returned to the family business, knowing it was crucial to have all hands on deck. He played a vital role in expanding Nath Inc. during a challenging time, as the company added award-winning properties such as Best Western Harbour Pointe in St. Ignace and Country Inn & Suites in Traverse City.

Arju brings his financial expertise and contracting license to bear, optimizing funds and bringing projects to life. As Vice President and Northern District Manager, he continues to help Nath Inc. grow.
